A protest that finally makes AOC uncomfortable

AOC was fine when the federal courthouse in Portland was having Molotov cocktails thrown at it, small businesses across the country destroyed, people’s homes threatened, livelihoods taken away. These “peaceful” protests had a purpose according to her.

According to her tweet “The whole point of protesting is to make ppl uncomfortable. Activists take that discomfort w/ the status quo & advocate for concrete policy changes. Popular support often starts small & grows. To folks who complain protest demands make others uncomfortable… that’s the point.”

And

“The thing that critics of activists don’t get is that they tried playing the ‘polite language’ policy game and all it did was make them easier to ignore. It wasn’t until they made folks uncomfortable that there was traction to do ANYTHING even if it wasn’t their full demands.”

Editorial – Maybe we are wrong

So let’s play a game…lets pretend a Republican posted those tweets…lets say, president Trump. She would be the FIRST one, again, calling for his removal from office as those tweets empowered people to feel they could turn violent. I suggest she resign as a demonstration of her moral character.

Of course when SHE tweets something that could indeed be taken to feed violence, and these tweets could, her communications director asks Twitter to block anyone who refers to AOC’s quotes as feeding misinformation. The level of hypocrisy is not to be believed.

Of course ANY violence is to be condemned but it is really interesting to see how when regular Americans, and federal property not in D.C. is attacked it is tolerated. These types of ill-thought out tweets could even be seen as condoning, or at least tolerating the violence by the government leadership.

She and the left take no ownership of the divide in our country and seem to hold themselves as being above it all. But judge for yourself; these kinds of inflammatory remarks are heard and remembered by those who will use them to do anything they want. When you have cities under siege like Portland for months, and the offer of federal help is denied, this reinforces the actions of those who seek to divide our country through anarchy and violence.

Our leaders are not leading. Children like AOC lack the ability to see there is value in compromise and unity. The vast majority of Americans are neither far left nor right. They live in the middle where sanity resides. Until we replace our representatives with ones who understand that they must act like mature adults, guiding the country forward in a way the works for ALL Americans, we may be in for some very rough times ahead.
