Be sure to catch the August Super Moon spectacular this evening

MoonIf you missed the July 12 supermoon you will get a second chance to see it tonight (Aug 10). The supermoon happens when the moon is full the same day as it’s perigee, or closest point in it’s orbit  of the Earth.

This supermoon will be one of the brightest and largest of all the full moons this year. It is estimated it will be 12 to 30 percent brighter than it was in January of this year. The peak will be at 2:04 pm eastern time but will remain bright throughout the evening.

In addition the show will coincide with the Perseid Meteor Shower which can only add to the spectacular show. If you have clear skies this will be a great time to go out and enjoy the nights festivities!
