I remember when Carl Sagan published his book Cosmos, I read it end to end and learned more about the universe and our place in it than in any other book I had ever read. It was an incredible read and I could not put it down. This weekend a new series airs continuing Carl Sagan’s vision of bring knowledge and understanding to the public. The Fox network and the National Geographic have teamed up to bring us this series.
Our species needs, and deserves, a citizenry with minds wide awake and a basic understanding of how the world works. – Carl Sagan
If you have never read his book or seen the original series you MUST watch this. If it is anything even close to the original program you will not be disappointed! The show premiers with the episode Orbit the Moon, Sunday March 9th at 9:00pm Eastern. It is hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson.
