A shiny-looking Martian rock is visible in this image taken by NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity’s Mast Camera (Mastcam) during the mission’s 173rd Martian day, or sol (Jan. 30, 2013).

This picture shows a shiny polished metallic tip on what looks like an eroded rock. According to NASA this can happen when wind and sand erode softer rock away from around the core of a harder rock, exposing this kind of projection.

This is a close of of the rock projection. At the tip you can see the area that has been polished and is metallic looking. Almost looks like a mini parabolic dish…hmmmmm :^). Anyone ever watch Twilight Zone…the miniature aliens….well, ok this is just an unusual formation of rock. It is very interesting and unusual.
