With the infusion of technology into todays classrooms, Interactive Whiteboards (SMART Boards) are making their way into each classroom of many schools across the country. This page is dedicated to the many activities that are out there for you, the teacher, to use in your daily lesson plans. Using this technology is a fun, interactive way for your students to learn new concepts. It also allows the teacher to differentiate the instruction of the lesson to meet the different learning needs of the all of the students in the classroom. Interactive White Board Lessons Math
Elementary
Operation Tree Game - Students practice their adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing skills to move through the tree. It also reinforces the idea of odd and even numbers. A fun and interactive way to practice math skills.Measurement - Students select appropriate standard units including km to measure length, describe the relationship among cm, dm, and m, and construct a variety of shapes given specific area in nonstandard units.
Angles - This activity allows students to recognize the different types of angles and apply their knowledge to a real world example. The Protractor is used to provide a fun and interactive way of measuring the length of the shapes.
Shapes - Students learn to recognize basic shapes including the circle, triangle, rectangle and square. By providing a real-world example and using the ruler, this activity is fun and interactive.
Logic Problems - Students solve logic problems by thinking outside the box. It’s a great activity to challenge all levels of students in a group or individually.
Calculator Activities - Students are introduced to the addition, subtraction, and equal buttons on the calculator and use these buttons to verify solutions to problems. Students are also asked to recognize number patterns using a calculator. The calculator provides interactivity.
Telling Time - This activity allows students to learn the parts and use of a clock. The hands and face of the clock are explained and the Learning Clock allows students to practice telling time with a hands-on approach.

Elementary
Food and Nutrients- Students explore the food groups by listing the groups, the foods in each group and the nutrients found in various foods.Human Anatomy- This activity focuses on the parts and systems that comprise the human anatomy. Students add additional information to complete the concept map.
The Water Cycle- Students learn about the water cycle. The activity introduces three states of water and the four stages of the water cycle.
The Seasons- Students learn about the four seasons with this colorful activity, which provides an excellent introduction to the seasons.
The Life Cycle of a Frog- This activity goes through the life cycle of the frog. Students add information to complete the cycle.
Mammals- Students brainstorm the characteristics that differentiate mammals.
Sky Science- Students learn about the phases of the moon, the planets and constellations, and the seasons..
The Life Cycle of a Bean- Students explore the life cycle of a bean using pictures. This lesson is a great way to give students a real-life example of growing.
The Human Life Cycle- In this activity, children explore the stages of human life and draw comparisons with animals.
Living or Non-living?- Students practice categorizing objects into living or non-living things. Colorful pictures add to the fun of this activity.
